If you know us You know What we are about. If You Don't know us then this one's for you. 5 insignificant blokes from an insignificant town in the middle of England. 5 Blokes trying to make the insignificant significant once more. Works for me, how about you?
Like any band, we've progressed and matured over the years, but this is how it all began......
The band formed in 2005 for a one-off youth event in Walsall. We are five guys with a passion for music and a passion for God. We hope that our funky, pop/rock music carries a message that touches and changes lives. Seeing us on stage is completely different to our album - it's an explosive experience!
About Our Album
Our Album, "Have you heard" has been out for over a year now. It took us a good few months to put it together: building the album out of two recording sessions with a fat lot of nothing in between. Well, not really nothing - we wrote the second half of the album, and decided what we'd change about the first.
If you're wondering, the album isn't laid out in the same order it was recorded in - we think we've chosen a good order for you to experience The Rumour in! (Thanks to Paul at the studios for backing us up on that one). We like to gig most of the songs from the album, we leave a few out so that people get to listen to us in their own time - with a cuppa and a slab of cake, for example.
After its launch, we set about spreading the word of The Rumour by sending it off for review. Here are what a few people have said about us.
"The Rumour's musicianship was tight and the songs were well constructed (with some nice chantable choruses)."
If you've liked what you've read on our website so far, maybe you'd like to listen to a few tracks from our album..
Be Today
Be Today is a song that inspires us all to not put things off and strive to be the best people we can be. "I'm glad to be today, because tomorrow it will be too late"
Change is in You
Change is in You is all about not just sitting and watching the world go by. It talks about a world that is flawed and greedy, and how we need to be the catalyst that instigates the change. It's a catchy song that keeps things simple but has a powerful message. Enough floaty waffle - on with the tune!
